A significant amount of my work, and my current practice, has been within the NHS. I bring a grounded, supportive approach to therapy that values the importance of connection and trust. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change, and acknowledge how daunting it can initially be to engage in therapy and feel vulnerable with someone new, which is why I focus my approach around your needs. I work hard to create a warm, none judgemental environment where you can feel truly heard and understood. My aim is to make you feel empowered to explore and work through your challenges at your own pace. I use evidence based strategies, and tailor these to suit your unique needs, helping you to build effective coping skills and resilience. I am trained to work with a range of presenting issues, and have a particular interest within perinatal mental health. As a mum myself, I understand the unique challenges the role of a parent can bring, and am particularly passionate about supporting people through life transitions related to parenting and family life. I am also interested in trauma work; being specialised in both trauma focussed CBT and EMDR, I am well equipped to helping you process and heal from trauma. This dual expertise allows me to adapt to your unique needs to address both recent and past experiences.
