I believe that all thoughts, feelings and behaviour have a source and explainable origin. By blending knowledge, observation and clinical experience to deconstruct abstract concepts into clear, actionable steps, I help my clients build resilience and understanding of "what" is happening, "why" and "how" to address it. I believe that every person is able to be the person they were always meant to be helping them "end" their childhoods and overcoming difficult patterns. My role is to walk beside you on your journey, facilitating the shifts that result in you feeling more whole and balanced. I have been working as a therapist for 24 yrs in a various settings, including private practice and non profit organizations. I specialize in helping people who struggle to manage their stress levels, feelings of anxiety and depression, I also assist people navigate the complexities of their relationships as individuals and in partnerships. I have a lot of experience working with trauma and with people going through life changes and adjustments. I hold a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, where I acquired the skills that form the foundation of my integrative approach to therapy. My journey in psychology began during my bachelor's studies at the University of Johannesburg, where a budding interest in the field evolved into a deep passion and love for my work. I integrate various therapeutic frameworks and I am trained in Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) for trauma recovery, Narrative Therapy to help clients reshape their life stories, Internal Family Systems (IFS) to foster self-understanding and integration, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to tackle destructive thoughts. I am committed to high-quality care and I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
