If you are struggling with your mental health I would like to help. Using EMDR and integrating other therapies I will work together with you to address your needs. Therapy for you and your needs
Book a sessionI am a therapist working in the NHS, where I help military veterans with trauma, and in private practice, where I support individuals dealing with mental health challenges. In my practice, I prioritise the client's experience and view the therapeutic relationship as one of the fundamental aspects of effective therapy. Maybe you've had previous therapy experiences that didn't quite meet your needs, where it felt like you were being fit into a standard protocol and therapy was something being done to you. By employing Attachment-informed EMDR and integrating other therapeutic approaches like Schema Therapy and Internal Family Systems, I view each client as someone with a unique past, all striving to navigate their experiences. Through the therapeutic relationship, I prioritise your needs and tailor the therapy to your preferences. We can work on addressing current issues such as anxiety and stress, developing coping techniques, and normalising these struggles as natural responses to challenges. Together, we can work towards reducing the distress you may be experiencing. Furthermore, I can help you address past difficulties, including single traumatic incidents or complex events. While there is growing awareness around mental health, it's important to recognise that many struggles are simply ways in which the human nervous system has learned to cope with past experiences. Through various therapeutic techniques, including EMDR, I can assist you in developing new coping strategies and shifting the focus from what's wrong with you to what has happened to you. Taking the first step into therapy can be intimidating, but it can also alleviate feelings of blame and shame that many individuals experience. If you believe that I can support you in overcoming the challenges you are facing, please reach out to me. I look forward to hearing from you.
