Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with 8 years of experience working within mental health in the NHS, working primarily with anxiety and depression but also specialising in perinatal mental health
Book a sessionNhat understands that starting therapy can be a daunting process. She aims to create a safe space for you to express yourself, and holds a curious and thoughtful approach in her sessions. This is particularly helpful during initial appointments, which are dedicated to understanding your story, how your difficulties may have developed, and what may be maintaining them. Nhat will then work collaboratively with you to identify your treatment goals and develop a tailored treatment plan to help you work towards them. Nhat has extensive experience supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health difficulties, spanning from mild to moderate, including depression, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, and perfectionism. She has a particular interest in perinatal issues, recognising the unique challenges that arise during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Nhat's core training is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which she uses to help individuals navigate their challenges by identifying unhelpful thinking styles and developing techniques to challenge self-limiting beliefs, alongside helpful coping strategies. She draws on the personal strengths of the individuals she works with to help them move towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life. In addition to CBT, Nhat incorporates elements of Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) into her practice. CFT helps cultivate self-compassion and develop a kinder and more nurturing relationship with oneself. By exploring the origins of self-criticism and embracing self-acceptance, Nhat supports individuals in their journey towards healing and personal growth.
