About me

I am dedicated to helping individuals try to achieve and maintain good mental health and overall wellbeing through psychotherapy. I use a person centred approach and will treat you with respect and dignity. We will work in collaboration at all times. I will be non-judgemental whatever your problem or condition. I also adhere to both the BABCP and EMDR Association UK ethical codes of conduct. Initially we start with gaining an understanding of the problem and developing realistic therapy goals. After this we agree a treatment plan with a therapy approach that suits you. This could be CBT, ACT, EMDR or a blended approach. I also incorporate the practice of mindfulness into therapy where needed. I have over 17 years of working within mental health services, mostly within the NHS. From May 2024 I now work in the private sector including private practice. I treat common mental health conditions such as: PTSD and complex PTSD. Major depression, dysthymia and anhedonia. Anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), illness anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, and specific phobias. I always feel very privileged to share someone's therapy journey with them and whatever the outcome, I always hope that at the very least, the person will come away with a positive experience.
