About me

Miranda offers a safe, non-judgemental and respectful space to explore difficulties and works collaboratively with individuals to identify aspects of life that may be influencing or maintaining these difficulties. If change is desired, Miranda supports and facilitates this using numerous and varied psychological techniques, drawing on a range of therapeutic theories and approaches. These include: - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - Schema Focused Therapy - Compassion Focused Therapy - Solution Focused Therapy - Systemic Therapy - Psychodynamic Therapy. Miranda has extensive experience covering a broad range of backgrounds and clinical presentations. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan. She believes that we often hold the solutions to our own difficulties but sometimes need support and outside perspective to discover these solutions. She is experienced in assessing and working with adults who are struggling with difficulties such as depression and anxiety, and has worked extensively with numerous other presentations including self-esteem, burnout, stress, physical health difficulties, emotion dysregulation and personality difficulties. Miranda specialises in working with individuals experiencing long term health conditions and in the management of persistent pain. She is passionate about supporting people to improve their mental and physical well-being in the face of huge challenges posed by their physical health. Miranda holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist.
