About me

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with a wealth of experience in various presenting mental health issues such as: existential crisis, stress and burnout, relationships difficulties, anxiety and panic, depression and unhappiness, bereavement. I have a special interest in life transitions (planned and unplanned). As a practitioner I employ an integrative approach to psychological therapy that includes existential and cognitive behavioural approaches (namely CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Integrating existential and cognitive behavioural approaches enables me to tailor make therapy to clients' personal needs, hence the style of therapy I provide can be explorative, solution focussed or management. I put particular emphasis on the importance of a genuine, warm and caring relationship between therapist and client. My clients feel and express that I can tune into their troubles, that I am attentive and challenging yet caring. They say that my style is dynamic and active, engaging and passionate - so more relatable than just expressing sympathy or empathy. I am a chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professional Council, and I am a member of British Psychological Society. I am trained and have worked in both cognitive behavioural approaches to therapy (CBT and ACT) and in Existential therapy. As an integrative practitioner, combining these approaches enables me to tailor-make therapy to your personal needs. Having completed a professional doctorate in counselling psychology at Regent’s University School of Psychotherapy and Psychology in London in 2013, I have worked at one of the leading independent clinics in the UK part of the Priory group. My client group is diverse and includes adults and adolescents with a variety of presenting problems: depression, anxiety, existential crisis, relationship difficulties, stress and burnout, adjustment disorder and bereavement. Feedback from my clients has always been exceptional and they invariably praise my ability to develop a therapeutic relationship with them where they feel safe and secure. Prior to obtaining the position at the Priory, I established a private clinic.
