Book a sessionLeanne has over 18 years’ experience working in various mental health service settings, including 10 years working as a therapist with adults with a range of anxiety disorders, depression and trauma, mainly in the NHS. Her core training is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), though she is also experienced in the use of Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness, enabling her to tailor her approach to patients’ needs. Leanne’s foremost priority is establishing a strong therapeutic alliance with patients, developing a shared understanding of their difficulties and goals, before agreeing a treatment plan to support patients to find a way forward. She works with depression and low self-esteem, a range of difficulties relating to anxiety and stress, as well as trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder. Her particular interests include PTSD, working with survivors of various traumas and helping patients build self-esteem. Leanne completed her CBT Supervision training in 2019. She enjoys supporting both trainee and qualified CBT therapists, placing emphasis on the restorative function of supervision as well as honing clinical practice.
