About me

I have a warm, friendly and non-judgemental approach to therapy. I work in a collaborative way, which means we both take an active role in your sessions, thinking together about how to make positive change in your life. I have been working as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist for nearly 15 years and previously held a Senior Management position in the NHS. I now work alongside Royal Holloway University London, supervising CBT therapists in training. I trained as an Interpersonal Psychotherapist in 2018. I work with adults experiencing common difficulties such as Anxiety, Stress, and Depression. I have extensive experience working with Trauma and with Low Self-Esteem, both of which are areas of interest in my practice. Through CBT I provide a structured approach that will help you manage your mental health differently. CBT will look at unhelpful patterns in the way you are thinking and behaving, and give you clear ideas for how to make changes. Interpersonal Psychotherapy looks at how our relationship problems impact on our mood. IPT can help with processing changes in relationships, arguments and bereavement. The initial assessment session gives us the opportunity to work out what would best suit you, and plan our work together. I specialise in working with clients during the peri-natal period and with people trying to conceive. I know that fertility issues and complications in pregnancy can have a huge impact on the mental health of both parents. I can offer therapy to support with infertility, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, as well as relationship difficulties impacting on your mood. I am also passionate about working with clients that have Autism, ADHD and Learning Disabilities. I can support you in therapy by adapting my approach to meet your specific needs. I am accredited by both the British Association of Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (BABCP) and the IPT UK Network, which means I'm committed to high standards of care.
