I believe therapy is a brave step to take to begin to live the life you want to lead. I follow a supportive, reflective approach to help people to develop confidence to achieve their goals.
Book a sessionI became a therapist because I have a passion for helping people to better understand themselves and support them to navigate their way through life's difficulties. I believe therapy is a difficult but important step to take for yourself, and will allow you space to grow as an individual and make those meaningful changes in your life. My therapy approach is warm, open and compassionate. You are the expert of what you are going through and I support you to make those adjustments through the aid of tools and techniques. I provide a helping hand to empower you to make your decisions and choices for your life. Our sessions will allow you to explore your feelings and thoughts, whilst thinking about ways we can overcome challenges. I believe that no matter your situation, everyone is able to grow towards the life they want and therapy sessions are tailored for you to help reach your goals. I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT Therapist) with over 6 years of experience in clinical work within the NHS in Berkshire and London areas. I specialise in supporting people who experience depression, anxiety and low-self-esteem. I also have broad experience with other anxiety difficulties including, but not limited to, social anxiety, OCD and PTSD. I also work with life's difficulties in mind, such as work stress, relationship problems and burnout. Most of my work is with adults (16+), and I teach therapists to support children and young people. I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Winchester, where my initial interest for mental health was formed. As a result, I trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at two universities including for my Postgraduate Diploma from Royal Holloway, University of London. This is where I enhanced my learning for the evidence-based CBT, through understanding how to break connections between unhelpful thinking patterns and challenging behaviours. I am a registered member of the BABCP. I look forward to working with you.
