About me

I am a London trained clinical psychologist with over 15 years of clinical experience of working in a variety of different settings, including the NHS, voluntary and charity sector, academia and private practice. Having obtained my MSc in Psychology in the Czech Republic, I went on to complete a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London. I support people across age groups and ethnic backgrounds, experiencing a range of difficulties, such as anxiety, depression, OCD, stress, burnout, low-self-esteem, additions including gambling addiction, bereavement, and also those more severe and complex difficulties and trauma. I have a special interest in working with people who struggle to cope with intense emotions and those experiencing relationship difficulties. I offer both short and longer term therapy. I draw on a number of evidence-based psychological approaches, tailored to the individuals’ specific needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Imagery Rescripting, Systemic Therapy, Solution Focused therapy, Narrative therapy, Compassion Focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Interventions, and aspects of Psychodynamic approaches and Schema Therapy. I have delivered individual, couple, family and group therapy interventions. I also have skills in supporting other professional and non-professional groups through providing consultation, teaching, training and supervision. Alongside my clinical practice, I have been a guest lecturer, teaching on postgraduate Masters and Doctorate programmes. People with whom I have worked commented that they felt comfortable and safe talking to me from the get go. They appreciated my calm presence through the hard times in their lives, as well as practical tools and compassionate guidance, some describing it as a “life-changing experience”.
