He can provide Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR); Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, or a more flexible and integrative therapy that is tailored to an individual's particular need. He is also influenced by ideas from Compassion Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness. John has worked in various positions and different contexts in the NHS, working with adults, and young people. His most recent post in the NHS was as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist working across three prisons in Surrey. He has extensive experience of delivering psychological therapy with a wide range of problems including: anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD; trauma and abuse; low mood and depression; irritability and anger; loss and grief; problems with alcohol or drugs; problems related to self-esteem, identity, and self-worth; problems with eating; struggles adjusting to life problems or changes; problems in relationships; difficulties getting the most out of your work or home life.
