About me

I work primarily in line with CBT principles; this involves exploring how our thoughts, feelings, behaviours and physical symptoms can maintain difficulties. I believe CBT should be flexible so that we can ensure there is a focus on individual needs and goals. I believe involving elements of Compassion Focused Therapy can be very valuable. Most importantly I am guided by client's goals and needs to ensure you have a positive experience in therapy. I’ve spent ten years working in mental health with eight of those spent in the NHS delivering CBT. This has provided me with the opportunity to work with amazing clients from a range of backgrounds with a number of different difficulties. I am a keen learner who spends time updating and extending my knowledge each year to ensure my professional development continues. I love the subject of Psychology and completed an undergraduate degree in this subject. I then decided to specialise in CBT and completed a post-graduate diploma in High Intensity CBT to become a BABCP accredited CBT Therapist. I have also trained to become a CBT supervisor and offer supervision to CBT Therapists. I am privileged to have learnt so much from clients themselves and feel this has had the largest influence on my practice. Starting therapy can be an anxiety provoking experience. I am a therapist that can offer a safe, collaborative and empowering space. I look forward to working with you.
