About me

Jas takes a trauma-informed and person-centred approach to therapy, offering individuals a therapeutic space that supports both acceptance and change. Jas is passionate about building therapeutic relationships that offer a safe compassionate space to attempt challenges, grow and transform where this is wanted. She is an integrative practitioner, and enjoys offering people individualised and needs-led support combining theoretical and clinical approaches. Jas is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, with ten years of clinical experience working across the life span within children, family, older adults and adult services in the NHS. She currently works in the NHS as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in both adult and child services, working with people that have experienced adverse or traumatic experiences, including domestic violence, abuse, trauma, migration, mental health difficulties and substance misuse. She has also previously worked with adults and older adults within health psychology services, supporting people with complex physical health and neurological difficulties. Jas also provides consultation, training, reflective spaces and supervision within her roles. Jas has an interest in supporting people that have experienced adverse or traumatic events (PTSD and C-PTSD), low self-esteem, relationship/interpersonal difficulties, anxiety (e.g. social anxiety, GAD, phobias), stress management, depression, anger, and difficulties adjusting to life changes or loss/grief (particularly related to physical health and neurological changes). Jas also has experience in supporting parents and foster carers. Jas regularly takes part in professional development, and is trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for PTSD, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, and Motivational Interviewing. She also has experience offering Schema informed therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
