Are you looking for a therapist to understand and support you? I offer remote therapy that is compassionate, reflective, and (neuro)affirming.
Book a sessionHi, I'm Kaykay. 👋 I am a registered Clinical Psychologist (PYL043834) and CBT therapist (1002444) who was diagnosed with ADHD later in life. I’m really passionate about supporting other late-diagnosed or self-identified ADHDers and autistics in a way that is neuroaffirming and empowering. While I have a special interest in working with ADHDers and autistic individuals, my work isn’t limited to this. I am also passionate and experienced in working with depression, anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, PTSD, cPTSD, low self-esteem, specific phobias, panic, difficulties with relationships and difficulties with adjustment. One of the philosophies that guides my practice is the concept of shared humanity which holds that we are all connected by the shared experience of simply being human. I believe that being cognizant of the reality that all humans share similar experiences and respond to experiences in similar ways allows me to be empathetic, compassionate, and a very human therapist. No matter what you’re coming to therapy for, my approach to therapy is compassionate, non-pathologizing and centred on you. You’re the expert on yourself (or learning to be!), and I’m here to support you using what I know as a starting point. I want you to feel comfortable enough to say things like, “Hmm, Kaykay, that’s not quite right”, or “I’m not sure this is helping”, or even “ Kaykay, that’s just stupid and makes no sense” (as a client once said to me). This helps us dig deeper to figure out what works best for you.
