About me

Harriet is a kind and compassionate Clinical Psychologist with a warm and gentle approach. She enjoys using a very individual and personal approach to work together with individuals to gain a shared understanding of the difficulties they are currently facing and what changes they would like to make. Once this understanding has been gained, Harriet enjoys working with individuals to support positive changes that will move them towards their goals both during therapy, and once therapy has come to an end. Harriet believes that a strong therapeutic alliance is an essential foundation for the success of therapy. Harriet has worked within the NHS since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2019. Harriet has specific experience working in an adult mental health service, with a broad range of presentations, including PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety presentations, and difficulties with low mood and motivation. Harriet also has experience working in an eating disorder service, treating a range of eating disorder presentations. Harriet has also worked providing therapy and psychological consultation within a general physical health setting. Harriet currently works within an NHS secondary care mental health service for adults. Harriet is trained in CBT, and is currently completing the accreditation process. Additionally, Harriet has received training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and EMDR.
