About me

I’m Gul-e-Rana Hameed, an experienced and fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (BABCP) and EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner. I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), providing one-on-one therapy for teens and adults facing a variety of challenges. With over 20 years of clinical experience, including senior roles within the NHS, I deliver evidence-based, tailored therapies that focus on individual needs. My approach is compassionate and client-centered, creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and emotions. Together, we’ll develop coping strategies that build resilience and lasting change. How CBT and EMDR Can Help: CBT helps in changing negative thought patterns and behaviours, while EMDR is particularly effective for trauma and PTSD, aiding in processing distressing memories. Both therapies are highly effective for anxiety, depression, phobias, and a range of other issues. What to Expect in Your First Session: In your first session, we’ll discuss your concerns, history, and goals for therapy. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask questions and assess whether you feel comfortable with the therapeutic process. My Experience and Approach: With a background in delivering high-quality psychological therapies in various clinical settings, including the NHS, I bring warmth, experience, and a client-centered approach to therapy. I also supervise other therapists and trainees as part of my NHS work, offering specialized services to meet your unique needs.
