About me

Life can be difficult at times and can therefore leave us feeling that we have lost confidence in ourselves or are unable to cope. While it can be daunting to consider therapy, it can provide us with a safe and none-judgemental space to reflect on events, help us rebuild our self-confidence, and make changes in our lives that allow us to be the best version of ourselves. Through therapy, I want to help you reach your goals and be the best version of yourself, whatever this may look like for you. I also believe that successful therapy does not just impact you, but also people in your life. Therapy will teach you skills that will enable you to master life’s adversities more effectively in the future and you will be able to, in turn, share these skills with your partner or children, for instance. We will achieve your goals for therapy by working collaboratively and creatively drawing on different techniques from different models to create a bespoke therapy plan suited for you and your individual needs. I am registered with the Health and Care Professional Council, and I am a chartered member of the British Psychology Society and EMDR UK & Ireland. I am trained and have worked in both cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and have recently completed further training on CBT for Psychosis. Through on-going professional development, my skill set furthermore includes compassion focused therapy, Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT) and mindfulness. As a pluralistic practitioner, I draw on all these different models to create a bespoke treatment plan with you. I completed my doctoral training at the London Metropolitan University and have since worked in an NHS service supporting clients with complex and severe mental health difficulties.
