About me

Annemarie has over twenty years experience of assessing, understanding and treating a range of diagnoses and psychological difficulties spanning mild to complex. She started her career in psychology in NHS forensic services in Hull. She moved to London in 2006 and worked for various NHS community services treating adults with complex and chronic mental health problems. In 2010 she became part of the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (CADAT) team at the Maudsley Hospital. There she worked as a national specialist treating people who have body image concerns or Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She has a particular interest in complex anxiety presentations, perfectionism and communication skills. Annemarie is a reflective and thoughtful practitioner with a passionate flair. She individually tailors assessment and treatment by drawing on various models; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy, and Family and Systemic Theories.
