About me

I am a registered psychotherapist specialising in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I offer therapy to support with a variety of conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, BDD, habit disorders and many more. I am also trained to support people with long term physical health problems that may be having an impact on mental health. I find it important to connect with the individuals I work with and give time to understand you as a person before going on to treatment. I understand how daunting entering therapy can be so providing an open and trustworthy environment is of the utmost importance to me and my practice. With this in mind we will spend the first few sessions getting to understand what is maintaining the presenting difficulties and then coming together to form a treatment plan. When moving on to treatment sessions we will work together as a team to ensure that you get the most out of your sessions. CBT is an active form of treatment, this meaning it is best suited to anyone wanting to learn tools and techniques to self manage symptoms and ultimately to become your own therapist once sessions with myself come to an end.
