About me

Approach Adam offers a compassionate and non-judgemental space to the clients he works with, where he helps them make sense of the difficulties they are experiencing. He supports individuals to find new ways of relating to their experiences so that they can focus on moving towards the things that matter most in their lives. Experience Adam is a highly specialist Clinical Psychologist and has several years’ experience in providing psychological therapy within a range of NHS mental health services, as well as conducting academic research in Clinical Psychology. He has particular expertise and training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside systemic (family-focused) and trauma-focused approaches. Adam uses an integrative approach, that allows him to work with a range of different issues, including anxiety and stress, depression and low mood, difficulties relating to significant and traumatic life events, interpersonal challenges, and strange or unusual experiences. He has additional expertise in working with issues relating to life transitions, existential concerns and physical health difficulties.
