Dr Pierre Taub studied medicine at Cardiff University, graduating in 1989. He was a GP prior to training in psychiatry at St Mary’s Hospital, London. Dr Taub became an NHS consultant psychiatrist in 2001 and worked at Homerton and Barts University Hospitals until 2020. For much of that time, he worked in the Crisis Team treating patients that were suicidal and suffering from severe mental illness and personality disorders. Dr Taub also worked with street homeless patients for 10 years, providing psychiatric care to rough sleepers in London. Dr Taub has a holistic approach to the treatment of mental disorders focusing on the medical, psychological and social aspects of illness. He uses a variety of interventions including medication, psychotherapy, and behavioural and cognitive techniques.
