Dr Deverill is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive experience in both the NHS and private hospitals, offering expertise across all areas of psychiatry. She has a particular clinical interest in women’s mental health, including menopause and pregnancy-related, as well as anxiety, depression, memory, and attention difficulties. Passionate about lifestyle and nutritional psychiatry, Dr Deverill is also a prescriber of medicinal cannabis. Her philosophy is that health is not merely the absence of illness but a state of overall well-being and contentment. In addition to conventional treatments, her approach integrates lifestyle and nutritional psychiatry and explores the interface between physical and mental health, with a focus on managing stress, sleep, nutrition, and physical activity to promote overall mental well-being. She has extensive expertise across psychiatry and most recently worked in an NHS general hospital in West London, treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including acute psychosis, substance withdrawal, eating disorders, and psychological responses to physical illness. With a research background in memory impairment, Dr Deverill has significant expertise in diagnosing and managing memory problems and dementia. She adopts a holistic, personalized approach to mental health care, partnering closely with patients to promote both mental and physical well-being. In addition, she serves as a Medical Expert for the Ministry of Justice, providing independent medical opinions for tribunals, and is an examiner in psychiatry for Imperial College School of Medicine.
